The public comment period for the Blue Mountains Forest Plan Revision Draft Environmental Impact Statement is now open.
This is your opportunity to tell the Forest Service how the proposed plan may affect the places you use, your family, your work, your community, and your ability to access the Wallowa-Whitman, Malheur, and Umatilla National Forests.

What Makes a Strong Comment
A strong public comment explains:

what issue or proposed plan direction concerns you

what place, road, route, area, or forest use matters to you

how the proposed direction may affect you, your family, your work, or your community

what outcome you expect from the Forest Service
Specific local knowledge is valuable. If you do not know a road number, planning term, or exact location, describe the place and your experience as clearly as you can.
You do not need legal language or technical expertise to make your voice matter.
