We are now down to 29 days to submit comments on the Blue Mountains Forest Plan Revision. This plan will have long-lasting impacts on forest access, grazing, recreation, timber, and community livelihoods across Eastern Oregon.

To help our communities prepare, Forest Access For All (FAFA) is hosting a series of public meetings to explain the plan and guide people through the comment process.

📌 Meeting Schedule:

  • September 18 – Baker City (Elks Lodge, 6:00 PM) • Enterprise (Toma’s Conference Room, 6:00 PM)

  • September 19 – John Day (Grant County Regional Airport, 6:00 PM) • La Grande (OTEC Meeting Room, 6:00 PM)

  • September 20 – Burns (Harney County Community Center, 6:00 PM) • Dayton, WA (Columbia County Library, 4:00 PM)

At these meetings, FAFA will:

  • Explain what’s in the Forest Plan and why it matters.

  • Provide step-by-step instructions for submitting comments.

  • Share examples of strong comments that carry weight.

  • Answer your questions and provide resources to take home.

Comment Resources for the Blue Mountains Forest Plan Revision

(This is the revision the agency hopes you ignore—because it shifts the Blue Mountains from an open forest to a closed forest for motorized access.)

We need every person who can to submit a comment. Please stand up for motorized access to the Blue Mountains, for our heritage, and for our way of life.
